As an Orthotist Prosthetist at one of the leading Trauma Hospitals in Africa. Quickly it become evident that there was a need for specialised orthotic services. Some years later Kirsten began specialising in neuro rehabilitation and orthopaedics. At this point Kirsten established numerous pediatric, neuro and orthopaedic clinics. Gibson Orthotics became a reality in 2015 where Kirsten followed her passion to establish bespoke orthotics services.

OWNER AND FOUNDER OF GIBSON ORTHOTICS
As an orthotist prosthetist and 2 years as an orthotic consultant. Her formal studies are Ndip in medical orthotics and prosthetics, BTech - medical orthotics prosthetics, certificate in 3D Cranial Remolding, 2 dimensional gait analysis and Rigo Concept Scoliosis approach.
Elaine Owen trained in paediatric gait analysis and orthotic management, quality management and Medical Devices ISO: 13485 2016. We are FDA certified in Cranial Remoulding Orthotics with our partner Orthomerica Starband. |
